Lego Fortnite Adds New Game Modes Beyond Survival-Crafting

Fortnite has new ways to play with Lego bricks with the debut of Lego Raft Survival and Lego Obby Fun. Available for free within the online game, these are the first of several more Lego-themed experiences throughout the year.

The so-called Lego Islands are a series of new modes created using the Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN). The first, Lego Raft Survival, has you embarking into a Lego Pirates theme. Playing with others in multiplayer, you’re tasked with facing Blackbeard as you try to survive on a raft. Expect cannon shots coming your way as you collect resources to build more rafts.

League Of Legends' Latest Champion Has Been Redesigned Just Days After His Reveal

In a move reminiscent of the infamous Sonic the Hedgehog live-action redesign, Riot Games has had to adjust the looks of its latest League of Legends champion, Smolder, in response to criticism from fans. After his reveal, fans pointed out that the small dragon’s face looked unnervingly human, with a design that was out of place with other dragons in the LoL universe.

Smolder, the Firey Fledgling, was revealed on January 4 as an adorable ADC who would also be easy to learn and fun to play. The small dragon’s cute design may have been pushed too far, with fans immediately criticizing the uncanny valley effect of Smolder’s human-like face, comparing it to Sonic’s original live-action design.

Love Death + Robots Renewed For Season 4 At Netflix

Netflix has greenlit sci-fi anthology Love Death + Robots for a fourth season. The first season debuted in March of 2019 with some medium acclaim but garnered several Primetime Creative Emmy awards including Outstanding Short Form Animated Program.

The series is produced by David Fincher, Tim Miller, Jennifer Miller, and Joshua Donen. Season 3 came to Netflix on May 20 of this year. This week, director Alberto Mielgo won an Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation for his short, “Jibaro.” The next season was announced in an Instagram post, which you can check out below.
